Sustainability Operations Manager - University of Strathclyde

An exciting opportunity has opened to join the award-winning Sustainable Strathclyde team. As part of your role you will have the key opportunity of decarbonising the University’s built assets. You will act as a champion for building certifications, such as Passivhaus, and develop the University’s heat network digital twin. You will be responsible for contracts relating to energy, water and associated compliance schemes. You will do this with the support and collaboration of colleagues from Sustainable Strathclyde, Estates Services and Facilities Management teams.

You will be agile working with some of your time on campus and some of your time working from home. The team have access to hot desking space in the heart of the city centre campus, overlooking the beautiful Rottenrow Gardens in the Learning and Teaching building. This award-winning building has first-class facilities for staff and students including coffee shops (such as Roasters), zero waste shop and salad bar, The Terrace bar and shower and changing facilities.
