Did you know that the sum total of university and college estates in the UK is bigger than the Isle of Wight? Think about all that space, now think about all the opportunities you have to make a real national difference by keeping your campus ecologically diverse and environmentally friendly. 

Given the busy agenda of Estates and Environmental Managers at colleges and universities, it is easy to see why conservation can get dropped from the priority list.

Today, more than ever, we are dependant for our sustenance, health, well-being and enjoyment of life on fundamental biological systems and processes. As seats of learning for life, our universities and colleges must pioneer a new appreciation of our co-dependence.
