Energy Analyst - Estates - University of Birmingham

The university are recruiting for a full-time Energy Analyst to focus on monitoring and improving the carbon performance of buildings.

If you have a passion for turning data into information, problem solving and being part of a great team, then this could be the role for you.  It is an exciting opportunity for an individual with excellent analytical skills to be a key part of the team, delivering our strategic objective to achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2035.  You will manage utility information systems, collect data, transform it into information and carry out analysis and audit activity to diagnose the energy and carbon performance of our buildings and improve them.  You will work closely with the BEMS (Building Energy Management Systems) team, supporting and providing information to facilities managers and other key stakeholders, assessing energy performance, and confirming savings have been achieved.
You also will work closely with the other Energy Analyst, the capital projects team and feed into committees and working groups, particularly those with a focus on sustainability.

In addition to your technical knowledge and analytical abilities you will have the interpersonal skills required to improve building performance through behaviour change. You will work alongside fellow professionals to deliver operational excellence, identify energy & carbon reductions and support development of an intelligent campus.
