Environment & Sustainability Advisor - British Geological Survey
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a capable and enthusiastic environmental management professional to join the BGS Risk & Assurance Team to work with staff and management across BGS to deliver sustainable and net-zero geoscience.
As the Environment & Sustainability Advisor you will participate in the development and implementation of a strategy to achieve our targets in areas including energy, travel, and waste.
Reporting to the Head of Risk & Assurance, you will be responsible for managing the operation of our accredited environmental management system and will also provide advice to projects and senior management on environment and sustainability requirements, assist in implementation and provide assurance on performance and compliance.
This role is part of a small team working across all BGS sites and activities to lead in the areas of quality, environment, safety, and risk management.
