Energy awareness material for universities and colleges is now gathered together for the first time as a centralised online resource at energyXchange.

The website – https://www.edu.energyxchange.org.uk/edu/ – is supported by the EAUC and funded under the EU’s Intelligent Energy Europe programme, and offers examples of proven energy-saving campaigns developed by universities and colleges.

Many universities and colleges have already developed successful energy awareness campaigns, but the continuous change in student populations means that energy and environmental managers are continuously looking for ways to reinvigorate their efforts.

Inspiration is now available online at energyXchange. Energy and environmental managers can find successful examples of awareness materials and people motivation initiatives and learn from proactive universities and colleges that have implemented successful campaigns.

There are examples of videos, posters, booklets, and much more. The website is designed to be a two-way information exchange that will rely for its future growth on the willingness of third level energy and environmental managers to showcase and exchange their own materials.

It takes just a few moments for an organisation to participate by emailing [email protected] and provide examples of their own materials for inclusion in energyXchange. So we are sending out a call to universities and colleges across the UK to make use of the resource and to showcase their own success stories, and so inspire other energy managers to motivate people on campus.

Sample images and descriptions of materials and initiatives can be viewed at energyXchange, with direct links to the full online versions on original source websites (if available).

The UK website forms one part of a wider European energyXchange resource, with materials available in other languages at www.edu.energyxchange.org.uk
