About
University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) implements an integrated environmental strategy to develop a nature positive campus that respects ecosystems. Through its Biological Control Program and biodiversity initiatives, the University prioritizes nature-based solutions that reduce chemical pesticide use, maintain ecological balance, and protect local fauna and flora. UM6P also promotes responsible water management by optimizing landscape design and reducing highly water-intensive irrigated areas, replacing them with plant species adapted to arid climates. Additionally, the Experimental Farm, led by the Agricultural Innovation & Technology Transfer Center (AITTC), serves as a platform for experimentation and innovation in sustainable practices adapted to arid environments. It supports biodiversity conservation, resource optimization, and circular economy approaches while raising awareness among the university community about sustainability challenges.
