MOME ZERO sustainability action program

Finalist, Nature Positive

About

MOME Zero is a complex nature-positive program of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) that aims to offset carbon emissions, restore natural ecosystems, support urban-biodiversity and ecosystem services, and strengthen the climate resilience of MOME campus and beyond. It integrates environmental action, education, community engagement and creativity. MOME Zero’s primary goal is to achieve positive impact while developing a nature-positive mindset of MOME students, faculty and staff. MOME Zero supports the aims of SDG 15 Life on Land (also 4, 9, 11, 12, 13) and follows several global, EU and national strategies and frameworks. It combines 6 action programs with 3 learning modules in a holistic and flexible way. Action programmes include: urban permaculture, composting and nature restoration activities.
