From Classroom to Livelihood: A Scalable Model for Future-Ready, Skill-Integrated Learning

Finalist, Next Generation Learning and Skills

About

In India, millions of young people graduate without employable skills. Centurion University addresses this through a skill-integrated learning ecosystem that transforms education into a pathway for livelihoods. Since 2010, the University has trained over 850,000 learners, embedding industry-relevant skills across academic programs. With 150+ skill courses, 50+ industry-integrated labs, and strong partnerships, students graduate with hands-on experience, achieving 80–90% placement rates.

The model integrates emerging technologies such as IIoT, NSQF-aligned certifications (via NCVET), and structured “earn-while-learn” pathways through LERNERN, supported by digital skill tracking. It prioritizes inclusion, with around 40% women participation and strong representation of first-generation learners. Recognised as a 2025 finalist, the initiative has further scaled in reach and digital integration, demonstrating how higher education can drive inclusive, sustainable livelihoods.
