About
The “Capacity Building for Sustainable Tourism” programme transforms lives by democratizing access to quality education in Peru. Designed for entrepreneurs and workers in the tourism sector in remote communities, it offers a free, specialized English course that breaks down geographic, economic, and technological barriers.
Its innovation lies in a unique adaptive hybrid methodology that combines radio, digital platforms, and in-person support, reaching communities where other models cannot. Beyond teaching a language, the programme empowers participants to connect with the world, revalue their cultural heritage, and generate new economic opportunities.
Since 2021, it has impacted more than 1,000 beneficiaries across seven regions, delivering strong results: 99% report improvements in their quality of life and 95% in their skills. With a self-funded and scalable model, the initiative strengthens the competitiveness of Peruvian tourism and demonstrates that education can be a powerful tool for sustainable social transformation.
