About
Partnering with staff from the Climate Compatible Growth Programme (CCG) and Loughborough University Centre for Sustainable Transitions: Energy Environment and Resilience (STEER), we developed Master’s modules to deliver rigorous and innovative training in real-world tools used to evaluate high-consequence decision-making for clean energy transitions and sustainable development. The practical skills and analytical and reporting methods covered are the same as those used to make the business case for clean energy and transport investment in Global South countries, which have already secured $11 billion in funding. Partnership has enabled us to deliver impactful learning, and to graduate impactful students, who carry next generation skills and the values of sustainable development into their careers. The curriculum model is also designed for replication beyond Loughborough: through a dedicated CCG curriculum-transfer programme, partner universities across Africa are supported to embed the same open-source tools and teaching materials into their own programmes.
