JSSSTU is a lush green campus with 54% green cover supporting a vibrant and biodiverse environment. University has solar roof top facility of capacity 292.6 Kilowatt peak power output, generates approximately 7 lakh KWh of power per annum. Energy-efficient appliances and sensor-based conservation systems further reduce the campus’s carbon footprint (591220 Kg of Co2). Sustainability efforts include rainwater harvesting (~8 million litres/year), food waste biogas generation (10 kg/day), vermicomposting (~3000–3400 kg/day of garden waste), and e-waste recycling compliant with KSPCB norms. To promote circular economy university has MOU with Esree Green Works Pvt. Ltd for recycling the paper waste (28,635 kg of paper waste is recycled for 2025). As part of MOU with Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd. single use plastic bottles are subjected for recycling (130 kg of plastic bottles have been recycled). 70% plus research, innovation and outreach activities align with climate action.
