About
Since 2023, the "Green from Within" project at Siam University's Faculty of Nursing has equipped students with practical "green habits" to convert climate awareness into measurable action. Led by nine fourth-year nursing students and expanding each year, the initiative engaged 256 students in carbon footprint assessments, peer-led campaigns, and sustainability challenges, achieving a statistically significant 4.5% carbon footprint reduction (p < 0.05) and an estimated cut of approximately 1,097 kgCO₂e. Beyond campus, the project partnered with the Khlong Lad Phachi community to co-develop a circular economy model converting PET plastic waste into wearable textiles, boosting community income by 80%. Aligned with SDGs 12, 13, and 17, this continuously evolving initiative demonstrates a scalable, replicable model for student-driven sustainability transformation.
