About
This project advances diversity, equity and inclusion in sustainability by combining critical intercultural education with social innovation training for women signatories of Colombia’s Peace Agreement. Grounded in the Minga de Saberes approach and the SEL4C methodology, it supports the re-signification of territory, women’s leadership, and reintegration into peaceful and sustainable communities. Working with 49 women in the Mariana Páez Territorial Training and Reincorporation Space, the initiative strengthened competencies in social entrepreneurship, social awareness, leadership, financial sustainability and complex thinking. Results showed significant improvements, especially in social awareness, leadership, and social innovation and financial sustainability, confirming the value of participatory, context-based education for post-conflict inclusion. By linking intercultural justice, gender equity, peacebuilding and sustainable community transformation, the project offers a replicable model for empowering women in vulnerable territories across Latin America.
