About
AgronoBot is an AI-powered agricultural robot developed by a team of four students from Ibn Tofail University following direct engagement with local farmers in Kenitra. Located in a region with strong agricultural activity and environmental significance, the students initiated field interactions to understand real challenges affecting crop health. Through structured exchanges with farmers, they identified critical issues including late disease detection, inefficient monitoring, and excessive pesticide use. The team then undertook a process of peer-led learning, environmental observation, and applied experimentation to analyze plant conditions and soil characteristics. This engagement-driven approach led to the development of AgronoBot, designed to support early disease detection and promote more sustainable farming practices. The project was further strengthened through participation in national innovation platforms, demonstrating how student-led initiatives can translate local knowledge into practical and scalable solutions.
