Guidelines for working towards net zero with suppliers
The London Universities Purchasing Consorium (LUPC), on behalf of the UK Universities Purchasing Consortia (UKUPC), have developed guidelines based on Procurement Policy Note (PPN006 and 06/21) and accompanying schedules, which takes account of carbon reduction plans in the procurement of major government contracts. It describes the process that will be rolled out across framework agreement suppliers and includes templates for carbon reduction plans for suppliers and an evaluation tool.
We encourage our educational members to align this practice with non-framework agreement suppliers, as we work towards achieving net zero. You can access the guidelines on LUPC's website at the approach to net zero with suppliers toolkit.
