Renewable energy technologies are a critical pathway for universities and colleges to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve net zero. Co-hosted by EAUC, convener of the Race to Zero for Universities and Colleges, and Heriot-Watt University, this event will explore how institutions can consider renewable technology implementation within their net zero transition plans and highlight lessons learned from institutions leading the way.
Hosted by Professor Mercedes Maroto-Valer, Deputy Principal (Global Sustainability) and Buchan Chair in Sustainable Energy Engineering at Heriot-Watt University, the panel will include speakers from Aalto University (Finland), Bishop Burton College (UK), Strathmore University (Kenya), and Simon Fraser University (Canada).
This event is open to anyone working within the university and college sector globally, whether or not they are Race to Zero signatories.
