About
Since we started in 2023, thirty five students have given bespoke advice to around three hundred and fifty householders. We’re Southwark council’s official Green Homes Service, and we now work with Tenants and Residents Associations and Tenant Management Organisations to support entire estates of homes. In 2025-26, we’ve expanded the model to start EACs at Reading, Wrexham and Kingston Universities. The students who have worked in the centre have gone on to research and industry roles across a wide range of sustainable fields. In June 2026, we’ll hold the first ever Student Energy Advice Conference at LSBU, with attendees from universities around the UK.

What would it mean to win?
We have been working on this project for nearly four years and it's been wonderful - but to win a Green Gown would mean the world because it would show a public outcome for all the hard work.
