About
Through Enactus TU Dublin, the same students designed, delivered, funded and evaluated both S'port for Grief and BiaBox, supported by staff enabling governance, safeguarding, facilities, academic integration and funding pathways. The model is simple: students identify a community need, build a practical response and lead delivery. Applied to youth grief, it became S'port for Grief — equipping sports communities to support bereaved young people through coach education, workshops, resources and events like the Transition Year (Year 4/16+) Festival. Applied to food waste and food poverty, it became BiaBox — rescuing surplus food via FoodCloud and redistributing it to families. In 2025/26 the programme reached 200+ direct beneficiaries, 15 partner organisations and 13,000+ people: one repeatable, student-led engagement model proven across very different sustainability challenges.
