About
Adithi Sathiyan is a passionate student sustainability leader committed to empowering students to become changemakers in the transition to a greener, fairer future. Inspired by her own experience as a student on King's Sustainability & Climate module, she has spent the past three years championing sustainability through education, campaigning, and institutional change. As Sustainability Education Assistant at King's College London, she supports the University's flagship Sustainability & Climate module, helping engage over 500 students annually in sustainability learning and action. She has led student-facing initiatives including the Sustainability Seminar Series, the Take Action Team, and the Fossil Free Careers campaign, creating opportunities for students to shape sustainability education and institutional priorities. Beyond King's, Adithi contributes to sustainability through NGO leadership, student representation, and national speaking engagements. Through her work, she has demonstrated how students can be powerful partners in driving sustainability, climate justice, and systems change.

What it means to win
We would be delighted for Adithi's hard work and dedication to advancing sustainability at King's and beyond to be recognised by a Green Gown Award. Her contributions to the module have been invaluable, and it's been rewarding to see her confidence develop during her time working with us. Adithi has already inspired other students, but we hope a Green Gown Award will encourage more students to engage with student-led sustainability initiatives at Kings.
