Renewable energy technologies are a critical pathway for universities and colleges to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve net zero. Co-hosted by EAUC, convener of the Race to Zero for Universities and Colleges, and Heriot-Watt University, this event explored how institutions can consider renewable technology implementation within their net zero transition plans and highlight lessons learned from institutions leading the way.

Hosted by Professor Mercedes Maroto-Valer, Deputy Principal (Global Sustainability) and Buchan Chair in Sustainable Energy Engineering at Heriot-Watt University, the panel included speakers from Aalto University (Finland), Bishop Burton College (UK), Strathmore University (Kenya), and Simon Fraser University (Canada).
