Our online Carbon Literacy course is the perfect introduction to climate science and action for professionals in the post-16 education sector.
The course consists of two half-day training sessions online with some required self-study before, during and after.
Reducing emissions relies on every single person in an organisation being aware of the carbon impacts of their choices, and feeling motivated and supported to take action.
This course, tailored to the post-16 education sector, supports learners to identify practical steps they can take to be part of their organisation's low carbon journey.
At the end of the course, delegates are asked to submit evidence of learning and actions from the course by setting out an action plan to reduce their emissions and influence others to take action. This is submitted to the Carbon Literacy Project for evaluation.
The training was developed by Manchester Metropolitan University in collaboration with the Carbon Literacy Project.
By the end of the course you will:
Understand the basics of climate change science and how we know it’s a problem
Have explored how climate change is impacting us all now and how it will in the future
Be able to identify ways that you and your organisation can take action to reduce emissions, benefiting from this in the process
