Sustainability Manager - Loughborough University

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Sustainability Manager at Loughborough University. 

Loughborough University are committed to acting in a socially responsible way that maximises their positive impact and minimises the negative impact on society and the communities in which they are based.  They have a large vibrant 438 acre main campus set in the Charnwood forest of Leicestershire on the outskirts of Loughborough, whilst the London Campus is an inspiring location on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. 
The new Sustainability Manager will lead the delivery of the University Sustainability and Environmental Strategy embedding sustainability across the institution by promoting sustainable management techniques and protecting and enhancing the campus landscape and grounds.
To lead on operationalisation of energy plans and initiatives that support the University’s goal to achieve its net zero greenhouse gas emissions target.  This will be delivered through the implementation of University-wide environmental and sustainability policies and management systems.
They will also be responsible for providing oversight and management of the sustainable travel plan ensuring that car parking and campus bus services are operated effectively to meet the needs of staff, students, tenants and visitors.
