About the role

The Sustainability Coordinator is a wide-ranging role, which is key to delivering Bath Spa University’s sustainability objectives. The role includes leading on all engagement and communication activities, including the BSU Green Focus web pages, implementing student-facing sustainability initiatives, collecting and submitting data for awards, maintaining FairTrade and similar accreditations and assisting the Sustainability Manager in legal compliance, environmental auditing and other issues. The Sustainability Coordinator will work closely with the Students' Union and will deliver a “carbon literacy” programme to staff and students.

About you (requirements)

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, personable individual, capable of taking the initiative and seeing projects through from conception to delivery. A passion for building a more sustainable future and a general knowledge of the issues involved are essential. Strong communication skills will be core to the success of this role. A degree-level education, preferably, but not necessarily in a sustainability-related  subject is required and experience in a similar role will be an advantage.
