Oxford University donated obsolete, working IT equipment to IT Schools Africa for sustainable reuse to help provide increased access to e-Learning technology for African students. This will offer life enhancing knowledge and skills, access to further education and improved employment opportunities.

Gridley, Dept. of Humanities, Oxford University said: “We have been using IT Schools Africa for a number of years and we are delighted that our computers will benefit African students and advance education and future life prospects for less fortunate students. “ IT Schools Africa offers us a secure, quality IT disposal service and I would suggest more universities consider donating . “

They have collected over 90,000 computers and laptops in the UK and are always in need of good quality working IT equipment to meet the high demand of their projects. IT Schools Africa is registered with the Environment Agency and is WEEE compliant, data security being their Number 1 priority and all PCs and laptops are wiped using specialist NCSC (part of GCHQ) accredited data erasure software.
