We are seeking TWO dedicated members to join our Board of Trustees.

Our continued success will draw on the strength and diverse skills of our Board of Trustees: maintaining its balance of knowledge and experience from across the university, college and learning and skills sector is essential to our future success. We now have vacancies for TWO new Board members.

We need top calibre Trustees who reflect the diversity of our sector and will provide the expertise and experience our high profile, ambitious charity requires.

The Board of Trustees contributes to the development of strategy and oversees its delivery by the CEO and our staff. All applicants will have a passion for and commitment to our cause.

This year we’re looking for motivated and dynamic Trustees with strategic, senior board-level experience. We also value the broader perspective of out of sector experience and previous Board experience.

We are in particular seeking nominations for one vacancy from:
  • People in campus operations/professional services, such as Director of Estates or similar 
  • All nominations would be of Director/Senior Management/Deputy level
  • It is desirable for nominations to have previous board experience
We are in particular seeking nominations for one vacancy from:
  • People in Senior Management level (such as Pro Vice Chancellor or Deputy Principal as minimum level) with an academic background
  • It is desirable for nominations to have previous board experience

It is important that are able to attend the forthcoming Board Meetings:
  • 12 -13 June 2017 – Strategic Residential Meeting, Birmingham
  • 25 September 2017 – Virtual Meeting
  • 4 December 2017 – Strategic Meeting, Birmingham

Further information and an application form can be found below. The closing date is 15 February 2017. All eligible applications will be put to Member vote via online voting which will open on 1 March 2017 and close on 22 March 2017 and in person at the AGM on 30 March 2017 at Lancaster University.
