Green Academy Lead - Nottingham Trent University

NTU are looking for a lead for the NTU Green Academy, to build on the University’s work to develop sustainability in the curriculum. NTU is one of a handful of pioneers in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) with a permanent team dedicated to this work.  NTU’s  Green Academy is well-established, ambitious and multi-award-winning.

As part of a role that will encompass leadership and management of the team alongside collaborative working with colleagues across the University, you will:
  • Take a lead role in ensuring the University delivers on its ESD commitments, as reflected in the University strategy.
  • Collaborate to provide advice for course teams to develop sustainability in the curriculum.
  • Support the contextualising of ESD to the academic disciplines and strength connections with other agenda, such as flexible learning, employability and student success.
  • Expand networks and communities of practice for ESD, including students and, where appropriate, local communities.
  • Champion ESD and increase its profile across the University.
This role requires you to be a creative and strategic thinker, able to generate ideas, to find and create opportunities, and to translate strategy into action.  You will also be able to inspire, lead and develop your small, experienced and dedicated team.  You will have experience of developing ESD material, ideally for different audiences.
