Energy Manager - The University of Aberdeen

This role is responsible for maintaining and developing the University’s energy systems, maximising their contribution to the delivery of the University’s carbon reduction, sustainability goals and management of the University’s utilities to ensure the efficient and effective use of energy, taking due consideration of environmental issues and legislation.

 The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent experience in a relevant energy, engineering, building services or environmental related discipline and proven significant experience in Energy Systems, Engineering or Building Services in a medium or large organisation. In addition experience and understanding of control systems relating to building services including CHP with an ability to interrogate the system and understanding of the CRC Energy efficiency scheme, CHPQA and EUETS, CCL, heat network regulations, meter operating agreements and supplier management.  

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 7salary scale (£40,792 - £48,676 per annum) and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
