EAUC-Scotland Responsible Institutions Research Intern

The UK sustainability alliance of universities and colleges, the EAUC, has a unique opportunity for an exceptional person within their Scotland team to work on a series of projects to support the Responsible University Group Scotland. Are you that person? 

Salary: Grade 3 point 7 - £17,408 (plus optional pension with 12.5% employer contribution)

Contract Type: Fixed term 20 Weeks full time or the part time equivalent, excluding 23rd December – 3rd January, with potential for extension depending on funding. Expected start date in September or October 2019. 
 

About you in your new role:


You will take a new, short-term post within the small and dynamic EAUC-Scotland Team, leading on developing knowledge and resources for a series of small projects to support universities and colleges to make progress on sustainability.
 
With a good understanding of climate change and sustainability, and how universities and colleges can contribute to the sustainability agenda, you will take the lead on progressing a number of projects which have been identified as important for accelerating action on climate change and sustainability by the Responsible University Group Scotland.
 
Applying both a high level of demonstrable knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively, you will be capable of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders to gather, collate, evaluate and disseminate information on topics relevant to Scotland’s universities and colleges. These will include (but not be limited to) business travel, single-use plastics, carbon negative actions, additional emissions sources, and monitoring and reporting against the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
