Value and justification of EAUC Membership tool
Following requests from Members, we have developed a new support tool for Members, detailing the value and justification of Membership. This tool can be adapted as required for each institution to support Members to help gain internal buy-in for renewal of Membership or for new Members to join the EAUC.
This has been written in conjunction with the key Members that raised the need for such a tool. These Members have reviewed it, fed into the various drafts and some have even trialled it internally. These were Gillian Sinnott & Helen Cutts, Wigan and Leigh College; Nick Hillard, University of Warwick; Angus Allan, South Lanarkshire College and Victoria Hands, Kingston University (also a MAC Member).
Due to the nature of the tool and the level of detail it required, we felt it was important to develop this with this smaller group of Members initially to ensure we addressed their needs. This key group of Members have reviewed and endorsed this document as a useful tool for Members.
As this is an important new Member tool, we would now like the MAC to review it before launching to the wider Membership. Due to the nature of the document (a 6 page word document) please either email your comments direct to me or apply track changes and comments to the document. Due to the limitations of the review function in Word, there is no real way of ensuring all other MAC Members can review each set of comments – but all suggestions are welcome! We have allowed additional time for this task so it can be used in any upcoming meetings with your management and/or team to trial it and include their feedback as this would be particularly helpful.
Key questions are:
1. Are all the key areas included?
2. Provide any feedback from your managers/colleagues
The feedback from the MAC can be found in the document below - this also indicates the EAUC response to the questions raised and where action has been taken.
