Sustainable Development is about ensuring that development "meets the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." Developing the induction programme gives you the opportunity to show your learning provider’s commitment to sustainable development. All staff understanding this from day one will give your provider a huge advantage.

The range of staff roles in your learning provider presents both a challenge and an opportunity; you can influence not only what and how people teach, but the how much energy your provider can save, for example.
