Greenwich Foundation/The Old Royal Naval College – “The Schoolroom”

Greenwich Community College has been working in partnership with the Greenwich Foundation for the past three years. Together, we developed a training centre (“the Schoolroom”) within the Old Royal Naval College where GCC deliver the fulltime NVQ courses in tour guiding and short courses when
required.

The Greenwich Foundation takes some of our students on as guides both for work experience and for paid employment. Others students have set up small tour guiding businesses or work at major attractions such as Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament, Danson House, London Museum, and the Greenwich Observatory.

The centre is also used for a range of meetings, seminars, school groups, lectures, other courses, and conferences.
