Cycling - Overcoming the Barriers

This course is fully endorsed by BikeWeek as an ideal training opportunity for running an event during the week of 13th to 21st June, aiming to encourage staff, pupils or residents to get on their bikes and start cycling.
Throughout the day the event will summarise successful strategies for overcoming the barriers to cycling through a travel plan. The keynote speakers from Cycling England, Sustrans and BSkyB, will look at the facts and figures of the benefits to health, the local and global environment, and the case study speaker will cover a range of best practice examples for different types organisations.
The workshops will be led by experienced facilitators from Norfolk Police Crime Reduction, Anglian Cycle Training and marketing specialists, who will lead discussions on the best methods to decrease cycle theft, cycle accidents and to get more people cycling.
The day will end with a cycle or walking tour of the historic City of Norwich where the event will be held.
