We are delighted to invite you to our annual Learning for Sustainable Futures event on Thursday 2nd June in Cheltenham.

LSF is the University’s professional support and pedagogical innovation scheme, a collaboration between the Academic Development Unit and Sustainability Team, to embed future-facing learning into the formal curriculum, co-curriculum and student experiences.

The event theme is learning partnerships for sustainability – with projects engaged in cross-faculty collaborations, university-community links, staff-student partnerships and research-teaching connections. The range of subject areas involved includes criminology, journalism, commercial interior design, events management and photography, as well as inter-disciplinary initiatives.

We are also pleased to be joined by our RCE partners, University of Worcester, who will be sharing and celebrate their new projects that follow the Learning for Sustainable Futures approach to embed sustainability through new learning and engagement initiatives.

There is also an opportunity to learn from leading practices across Europe in creating professional development opportunities around Education for Sustainability. This session will draw on new outputs from the UE4SD: University Educators for Sustainable Development European Commission project, which has investigated and developed new practices through its network of 53 partners in 33 countries.

The day is free to attend and includes lunch and refreshments. It will be facilitated by Professor Sharon Turnbull, Head of Research at the Leadership Trust, whose expertise is in global leadership and learning for sustainability.

All are welcome – please see the draft programme and share with your colleagues and networks.
