Corporate Social Responsibility CaSPr Workshop 05/12/07
Location: The Scottish Further Education Centre
5 December 2007
The Campus Sustainability Programme (CaSPr) has to date presented workshops on a wide range of environmental and social issues – embracing the full scope of sustainability. These topics are increasingly being framed within a “Corporate Social Responsibility” (CSR) agenda by organisations seeking to manage the sustainable development agenda and to provide a high-level response to drivers which are regulatory, financial, stakeholder and customer driven.
Scottish universities and colleges have the opportunity to learn from this experience and develop relevant CSR programmes and strategies. This will help them embrace sustainability in a more systematic way across the organisation and drive continuous improvements in performance.
This event provides a first opportunity to:
• learn about the relevance of CSR to your institution
• understand the opportunities and challenges associated with introducing a CSR strategy
• plan the first steps in introducing it.
