The University of Worcester is pleased to welcome Dr Rolf Jucker, one of the world’s leading experts in the field of learning for sustainability to St Johns campus on 14th October at 2.30pm for a roundtable discussion on his new book ‘Do we know what we are doing? Reflections on Learning, Knowledge, Economics, Community and Sustainability'.

Dr Jucker has contributed to national policy and practice in Switzerland and the UK, especially in the context of school education. He is the author and co-author of a number of books and refereed papers in the field of learning for sustainability. In his new book he questions  the impact and effect of educational activities. ‘Rather than hoping that this input—lectures, lessons, teaching materials and courses—yields the desired effects, we should, he suggests, focus on helping social learning in the real world’ Professor Stephen Sterling, Centre for Sustainable Futures, Plymouth University.

This discussion should be of interest not only to sustainability educators but also to people interested in Education in general.
