There are still some places on the Inspiring Sustainability in Community Learning Seminar at Derbyshire Eco Centre, at Middleton by Wirksworth in the Derbyshire Dales, on 8 November 2014.

This one day event will bring together people from a range of backgrounds who share a passion for inspiring adults to live sustainably.

We are pleased to announce the following inspiring speakers for the day. They each bring very different experiences to help us to develop a shared vision of the role that adult learning takes in the development of a sustainable world..

• Bill McGuire from University College London. Bill is an academic, science writer and broadcaster. He is currently Professor of Geophysical & Climate Hazards at UCL.

• Andrew Reeves from De Montfort University's Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development. Andrew lectures on the People Society and Climate Change masters course at De Montfort Uni, and is active in Transition Leicester.

• Pam Warhurst CBE, who is founder and Chair of Incredible Edible Todmorden. She is a community leader, activist and environment worker. She was  formerly Chair of Forestry Commission Great Britain, and has been on the board of a number of environmental and development organisations.
