Background

Topic Support Networks are free to attend (both for EAUC members and non members) and provide a fantastic opportunity to come together and share good practice, network and gain updates on a specific sustainability subject that is relevant to Scottish Colleges and Universities.

Event Summary

This promises to be an interesting experience. For our first morning session we have invited Steven Turnbull, Project Manager, Resource Efficient Scotland to speak on "Taking action - tackling food waste and recycling on campus". This is followed by David Weber, Horizons Environment Account Manager, Scottish Water who will tell us about Anaerobic digestion.

After lunch we have a case study presented by Joe Farthing, Communications Specialist, University of Edinburgh, entitled "Waste bin signage and linking to behavioural change",  after which we will round off with a discussion on the new Waste (Scotland) Regulations.
