Be part of your Conference

We’re currently in the vital planning stages for the 18th EAUC Annual Conference and we are now putting out an open call for Conference sessions.

Create a session to inspire others!

Our Members and partners are key to providing these sessions/workshops to share their own knowledge with others and to spark discussion and debate. This is your opportunity to help carve out the content of the 2014 Conference by suggesting these potential sessions. The session proposals are reviewed by the EAUC and our Conference Programme Panel (CPP) to ensure they offer the right mix of content for our delegates, with the highest scoring sessions going forward to the final Conference programme.

For 2014, we're particularly looking for:
• a range of high level "advanced" or "masterclass" sessions as this is especially needed following feedback from our Members

Themes including (but not exclusive):
• student and staff engagement in sustainability
• selling sustainability / building a business case
• well-being - how do we stay inspired in challenging times
• shared services - cutting costs and efficiency
• scope 3 - good pratice
• waste management - particularly in engaging students

A conference session delivers practical advice and offers of/access to support to the delegates. It reflects delegate needs for both the tertiary education sector to aid delivery of their sustainable strategies, projects, actions, paths and challenges. It is a facilitated meeting offering discussions, syndicate groups, panel discussions and Q&A. Delegate contribution is essential.

We have given an indication of some particular themes above but we need to ensure that we deliver an all-round programme which is suitable for all delegates – whichever sustainability journey they are on – be that “starting out” (new to the topic), “on the road” (some experience but looking for more advanced options) or “more advanced” (competent but looking for new approaches).

It's now your chance to inspire others and play a real part in helping the sector advance their knowledge and skills. If your session proposal is selected by our panel, you'll receive 10% off your delegate package* plus the knowledge that you've helped others achieve excellence.
