What is the MAC?

The MAC will exist to represent our members’ views, needs and requirements. Uniting an even mix of like-minded and passionate EAUC members will allow us to critically evaluate, challenge and debate whether our members are truly at the heart of our work. It will arm the EAUC with key insight to develop new member services. It will have a feedback loop into the Board but is an advisory group and does not exist as an extension of the Board.

Getting the right mix

The MAC must be fully representative of our whole membership base with a mix of Members, expertise, skills and geographical locations. Our membership base includes Educational Members (eg Universities and Colleges); Company Members and Strategic Partners. Each ‘member type’ is essential as they each offer their own significant value and benefit to the overall EAUC membership offering.

As a guide, we ideally need 14 Educational Members, 3 Company Members and 3 Strategic Partners on the MAC (based on 20). The MAC can comprise of up to 30 members and we've received 24 nominations. Due to the excellent spread of nominations the Board have decided that any further selection from them is not required at this stage. However, this will be reviewed once the all votes have been cast and the Board have the right to appoint additional candidates without further voting.

How to vote

Each individual EAUC member will receive an email with a link to the secure voting portal.

We recommend that you vote ‘yes’ for each nominee as we’re satisfied that, collectively, the 24 nominees are representative of our membership base. If you agree, click the blue 'yes' at the top which will set all candidates to 'yes'. Alternatively, select 'yes’ or ‘no’ next to each nominee.

Should each nominee receive a simple majority of ‘yes’ votes, each one will be automatically appointed. Should you select ‘no’, you must enter a reason into the box provided as this will help us understand your views better. Click here to view the voting rules and eligibility criteria.

Please also review the role, remit and person specification of MAC members to understand what will be required of them. In addition, review each nominee’s profile which has been written by them and will assist you in selecting your vote.
