Universities light the way to Environmental and Social Responsibility
As we come to the close of Year Two of the Universities that Count program we would like to congratulate all participants on their successful competition! We are delighted to announce that the sector has improved its overall performance, with the sector average increasing from 67% to 75% from 2009 to 2010. Keep your eyes open for the exciting End of Year Report that will be out in September as well as details of the upcoming Year Three survey which will be easier to complete. Thank you to all participants for their support of Universities that Count (UTC), the sector’s own, quality assured Environmental and Social Responsibility (ESR) benchmarking programme designed specifically for universities.

Green Gown Awards 2010 Tips on How to Win
The suspense is over, the Green Gown Awards 2010 Winners were announced at the fabulous Green Gown Awards Ceremony which took place at the Swan at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre on Wednesday 16th June 2010. Compered by Mark Watson, comedian and amateur environmental crusader, the evening proved to be one to remember.

The Promoting Poverty Aware Procurement on Campus (PPAPC) project is now live!
The Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC) are happy to announce the launch of the PPAPC project. The EAUC has produced a suite of information, guidance and communication tools to help your institution become poverty aware when procuring goods and services.
