High Performance Buildings - The Crucial Role of IT

This free 1/2 day workshop is based on two recently published guides to high performance buildings in universities and colleges. The first half summarises the key messages of the reports, and provide practical examples from within and outside the sector. The second half examines the crucial role of ICT in creating both more efficient buildings, and a more satisfactory user experience. It particularly focuses on next generation Building Management Systems, and the role of Internet Protocol based building services.
The event feature a presentation from Ave Maria University, a new institution in Florida which is seen as a ‘leading edge' intelligent campus in the US. The University says that this has created significant space, cost and energy savings.
