Green Gown Awards 2007-08

Entries for this year’s Green Gown Awards are now open.

The Green Gown Awards are now in their 4th year and have become the most prestigious recognition of best practice in universities and colleges.

Winning a Green Gown Award has become a great way to differentiate your college or university from the crowd; a booklet celebrating the achievements’ of last year’s winners has been launched on the heepi website: www.heepi.org.uk

There are eight categories in this year’s awards:

• Colleges and Smaller Institutions
• Continuous Improvement
• Courses
• Energy & Water Efficiency
• Residences
• Social Responsibility
• Student Initiatives
• Sustainable Construction

Please find below a flyer with details of this year’s categories, some background information and an application form. The closing date is Wednesday December 5th.

We would encourage you to forward details of the awards to others in your institution; for example the Students’ Union or the Accommodation Office; perhaps encourage your PR department to run a story about the Awards. And please feel free to pass information on to others outside your institution.
