Reconnections is a one week course in the Lake District, led by Jonathon Porritt.

The course provides the space to re-connect with the natural world and to immerse yourself in the ethical, philosophical and spiritual dimensions of Sustainable Development

Agenda

Monday: Arrival at Yewfield lunchtime, course begins at 3pm.
Jonathon Porritt sets the scene.

Tuesday: Gaia, Environmental Values and the 'Journey' . An afternoon and evening reconnecting with nature, canoeing and walking including solo time and ending with a campfire supper under the stars. (Susan Canney & Kate Rawles).

Wednesday: Further exploration of Gaia and Values. Reconnecting with everyday things: Indoor sculpture with Andrew Acland. Social Justice with Ian Christie and an astonishing photographic show - Hard Rain, from Mark Edwards.

Thursday: Ethics and Values into Action: Roland Bonney. Plus reconnecting with intrinsic value; Outdoor Sculpture with Andrew Acland and The Spiritual Dimension of SD with Jonathon Porritt

Friday: What changes cultures?: Andrew Acland, Harnessing the Power of Reconnections, Discussion and Conclusions from the week
