Energy Officer - University of Reading

An exciting part-time opportunity (Fixed term to January 2025) to join the Sustainability Services team to help deliver net zero carbon ambitions and realise the aim to be one of the greenest universities in the world.  You will play a key role in leading sustainable behaviours programme and supporting the delivery of energy, carbon and water reduction projects.

Opportunity to apply your existing energy and behaviour change experience by joining the leading Sustainability Services team to lead sustainable behaviours programme and support the identification, quantification and development of energy, carbon and water reduction projects in the estate.

You will work closely with the wider Sustainability Services and sustainability champions across the organisation, helping to ensure good energy and environmental practice is embedded across the University.

You will have:

• Experience of delivering behaviour change programmes and making presentations
• A good understanding of identifying and quantifying opportunities for energy, carbon and water savings, including building controls, low carbon heating and renewables
• Good organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines
• Good written communication skills, including writing business cases and management reports
• Good project management and/or event management experience
