EAUC Head of Programmes and Scotland Manager Andrew Chamberlain will be chairing the ‘International collaboration for climate commitment in the tertiary education sector’ discussions at the Green Universities Conference in Sydney in February 2011.
 

This session will have representation from Australia (ACTS), America (ACUPCC) as well as the UK and will be exploring climate commitment models and looking to cement a new international collaborative model. Talks will:

• Discuss the ACUPCC initiative and its applicability to the Australian
tertiary sector
• Explain the universities and TAFEs Australian Climate Commitment (UTACC) including the Steering Committee and Founding Institutions
• Cover the benefits for involvement and the synergies with national and international focuses such as the National Action Plan for Education and Sustainability
• Introduce the International Net Positive Collaboration, the next step for the initiative which will see Australia lead the Asia Pacific region, as well as the international stage
