Conference streams

The Conference Steering Group (consisting of EAUC Members) has ensured this year’s Conference sessions reflect the needs of the sector and are tailored towards both the higher and further education sector. The sessions are based around the framework for Learning in Future Environments (LiFE) and will follow the four main streams.

Within each stream will be facilitated interactive sessions with emphasis on delivering practical advice, sharing best practices, and aids to delivery of sustainable strategies, projects, paths and challenges. There will be plenty of opportunities for discussions, knowledge exchange, syndicate groups, panel discussions and Q&A, and facilitated networking events to help show the way ahead on the sustainability path for colleges and universities. Sessions will showcase examples of best practice from and for both the higher education and further education sector.

Estates and operations This stream incorporates aspects of biodiversity, sustainable ICT, utilities, travel, transport, construction and renovation, resource efficiency and waste. These sessions are identified with the symbol right.
Leadership and governance This stream incorporates aspects of leadership, staff engagement and human resources. These sessions are identified with the symbol right.
Learning, teaching and research This stream incorporates aspects of learning, teaching and student engagement. It also covers research, including both sustainable research and research into sustainability.  These sessions are identified with the symbol right.
Partnership and engagement This stream incorporates aspects of business and industry interface, community and public engagement and procurement and suppliers. These sessions are identified with the symbol right.
Green Gown Award winners/highly commended entries We're committed to sharing and disseminating sustainability excellence recognised at the Green Gown Awards. Many of the case studies being used in this year's Conference sessions are either Green Gown Award winners or highly commended entries. Where a session incorporates a Green Gown Awards entry, you will see the symbol right.
