Communication and management
Sustainability is making new demands on how we communicate and manage our work. Good communication can influence peoples' behaviour, create dialogue, foster understanding and open up communication between groups.
Effective communication is also a key element of managing people and change. The pressing need for education and development that does not cost the Earth means major problems for the established ways of running our organisations and doing business: but problems can also become learning and economic opportunities.
To fully exploit these opportunities, it is not only the techniques and tools of management that need to change: values, attitudes and cultures need to change too.
