Published by The Carbon Trust is this guide to help public bodies understand potential sources of finance for energy efficiency and renewables.The aim of this document is to help public bodies access potential sources of energy efficiency and renewable energy finance for their building stock and to assess the costs, risks and benefits of doing this. It is intended to help sustainability professionals in the public sector to understand the different ways to finance low carbon projects, how to put together a business case and what to consider when procuring and implementing a project. It was put together by The Carbon Trust with assistance from Marksman Consulting and SKM Enviros, alongside valued input from a number of external reviewers.
