Meeting Local Authority and Funding Council demands through Travel Assessments

Planning legislation now requires submission of a Travel Plan as part of a Transport Assessment (TA) for all major developments. This workshop will be based around the experiences of Stockport College as it seeks to expand into and redevelop a constrained site adjacent to its Town Centre Campus with a project costed at almost £100m.

The Workshop will examine the points of view of the College, the Local Authority, English Heritage, and the local community about the complex range of issues and challenges which had to be addressed before the scheme could proceed, including the crucial role of the Travel Plan in satisfying LA aspirations and concerns.
