Date for your diary: 7-9 May 2014 EAUC Annual Conference

We are pleased to announce that the EAUC’s 18th Annual Conference will take place at Nottingham Trent University from 7 – 9 May 2014.

Situated in the city centre of Nottingham, the Newton Building (which will host the Conference) has recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment which has delivered large improvements in sustainability. The Grade 2* listed building now hosts one of the largest green roofs in the UK (see picture above) and benefits from triple glazing in combination with the original 1950s façade. Other features include ISO14001 compliance and providing a home to the busiest NTU café, selling thousands of Silver accredited Food for Life meals to students each term. Despite being in the city centre it is also home to a colony of honey bees and a returning pair of peregrine falcons too!

The Newton Building offers a fantastic venue for delegates and exhibitors alike. With excellent links to the public transport system, delegates can arrive into Nottingham train station, hop on to the tram and within minutes alight a short walk away from the Conference venue. Further information on the Annual Conference will be communicated in the coming months including your chance to help create the programme by being on the Conference Steering Group.
